50-Bed Field Hospital Built At Hackensack Meridian Old Bridge Medical Center

Hackensack Meridian Health (Edison, N.J.) partnered with New Jersey EMS Task Force (Neptune City, N.J.) to build a 50-bed field hospital at Hackensack Meridian Old Bridge Medical Center (Old Bridge, N.J.) to prepare for natural disasters.

The project was part of an emergency response exercise designed to ensure continuity of care and continued hospital operations in the event of a catastrophic hurricane.

In addition to the field hospital, Hackensack Meridian Health would have access to medical ambulance buses and oxygen generation trucks in the event of infrastructure failure after a natural disaster as part of the field hospital project.
