Citizens Medical Center To Build Replacement Hospital And Clinic In Kansas

Citizens Medical Center (Colby, Kansas) is constructing a new 84,000-square-foot replacement hospital and clinic in Colby, Kan., according to the website kwch.com.

The project will receive a $108 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Kansas Rural Development (Topeka, Kan.).

The new hospital and clinic are slated for completion in 2025.

Monash Health has opened Victorian Heart Hospital on the Monash University Clayton campus in Clayton, Victoria, Australia. As Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital, the $564 million facility houses clinical cardiology, research, education, outpatient, imaging, pathology, and pharmacy services. The 196-bed hospital includes seven catheterization laboratories and one floor dedicated to heart research by Monash University and independent research group Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre (Clayton). A central outdoor courtyard, landscaped areas, and café spaces are also featured at the new hospital. The project team comprises Conrad Gargett (designer; Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) and Wardle (designer; Collingwood, Victoria, Australia). Nonprofit New York City Economic Development Corporation (New York) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (New York) celebrated the topping out of the Public Health Lab adjacent to the campus of Harlem Hospital , a teaching hospital, in New York.
