Jupiter Medical Center / UF Health Neighborhood Hospital Planned For Florida

Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Fla., and University of Florida Health (Gainesville, Fla.) are planning to open a jointly operated hospital as part of Health Park at Avenir, a 4,752-acre sustainable project being developed in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The 53,000-square-foot Jupiter Medical Center / UF Health Neighborhood Hospital at the Health Park at Avenir will include 24-hour emergency services, inpatient beds, operating rooms(ORs), a diagnostic laboratory, imaging services, and primary and specialty care services.

The two-story hospital is scheduled to open in 2024.

$564M Victorian Heart Hospital Opens In Australia

Monash Health has opened Victorian Heart Hospital on the Monash University Clayton campus in Clayton, Victoria, Australia. As Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital, the $564 million facility houses clinical cardiology, research, education, outpatient, imaging, pathology, and pharmacy services. The 196-bed hospital includes seven catheterization laboratories and one floor dedicated to heart research by Monash University and independent research group Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre (Clayton). A central outdoor courtyard, landscaped areas, and café spaces are also featured at the new hospital. Jessalyn Nelson, PE, Senior Associate, Walter P Moore (Houston) Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Tufts University, Jessalyn Nelson relocated to Houston after graduation to begin her career at Walter P Moore , where she was introduced to healthcare design. One of Nelson’s first projects with the firm was the 19-story expansion to Texas Children’s Hospital Legacy Tower in Houston, where she served as a graduate engineer during design and construction. Her refined analysis work enabled the expansion to increase by a full floor relative to what had originally been accommodated in the structural design.
