Mercy Health Behavioral Hospital To Break Ground In Ohio

Mercy Health – Youngstown (Youngstown, Ohio) and Lifepoint Behavioral Health (Brentwood, Tenn.), a business unit of Lifepoint Health (Brentwood), are planning to build and operate  a new inpatient behavioral health hospital in Youngstown.

The 75,000-square-foot, 72-bed Mercy Health Behavioral Hospital will include inpatient services for adults with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, substance use disorder, and other mental health illnesses.

The facility will feature spacious patient rooms, community areas, outdoor courtyards, and clinical spaces.

Mercy Health Behavioral Hospital is expected to begin construction in summer 2023 and open in late 2024.

Additionally, Mercy Health is partnering with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, another business unit of Lifepoint Health, to construct Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital. The 60-bed inpatient facility is expected to open in summer 2024.
