Steward Health Care Breaks Ground On Wadley Regional Medical Center Replacement Hospital

Steward Health Care (Dallas) is building a replacement facility for the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.

The $254 million project, scheduled for completion in December 2025, features a 250,000-square-foot hospital with 123 beds (with the ability to flex to 291) and a 160,000-square-foot medical office building (MOB).

The center will include a 24-hour emergency department with expanded bed capacity and a range of services including orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurology, and maternity care.

The project team comprises ESa (architect; Nashville, Tenn.) and Robins & Morton (general contractor; Birmingham, Ala.).
