University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Plans Replacement Facility

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (Easton, Md.) file a certificate of need (CON) for a new medical center in Easton.

The proposed plan would replace UM Shore Medical Center at Easton with a new 325,294-square-foot medical center with 142 beds (122 acute inpatient and 25 observation beds), 27 emergency department treatment bays, seven operating rooms, a helipad, acute rehabilitation center, birthing center, and cardiac intervention center.

A 60,000-square-foot adjacent medical office and outpatient services building is also planned.

The project is slated to open in summer 2028.
