Avera Health To Open Four-story Behavioral Health Wing

Avera Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.) added a four-story behavioral health wing at its Avera Behavioral Health Hospital in Sioux Falls.

The Helmsley Behavioral Health Center adds 60,000 more square feet of treatment space for children, youth, and adults, including three specialized units for children and adolescents.

This wing houses several new services, including a 24/7 behavioral health urgent care, observation care, residential youth addiction care services, and partial hospitalization for youth. Additionally, Avera’s senior behavioral health unit will be relocated from the Avera Prince of Peace (Sioux Falls) campus to the new wing.
