Mather Hospital’s Frey Family Emergency Department Breaks Ground In Port Jefferson, N.Y.

Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y., broke ground on a new $52 million emergency department (ED), called the Frey Family Emergency Department, according to the website greaterlongisland.com. (For more on ED design, go here.)

The 26,000-square-foot project will include imaging services, ultrasound, isolation rooms for infectious diseases, and mental health treatment rooms.

The new ED is expected to be completed in 2025.
