WellSpan Health, Emerus To Build Three Neighborhood Hospitals In Pennsylvania

Integrated health system WellSpan Health (York, Pa.) and hospital operator Emerus (The Woodlands, Texas) have partnered to build three neighborhood hospitals in Pennsylvania’s Cumberland and York counties, according to the website pennwatch.org. (For more on hospital design, go here.)

While the specific location and services for each hospital are still being finalized, plans call for each hospital to house an emergency department (ED) and up to 10 inpatient beds.

Groundbreaking for the first hospital is tentatively scheduled for the end of 2023, with a potential opening by the end of 2024.
