Acadia Healthcare SolutionHealth Plan 144-bed Behavioral Health Care Hospital In New Hampshire

Acadia Healthcare (Franklin, Tenn.), a nationwide provider of behavioral health care, and SolutionHealth (Bedford, N.H.), the parent organization of the Elliot Health (Manchester, N.H.) and Southern New Hampshire Health (Nashua, N.H.), are planning a new behavioral health hospital in south central New Hampshire, according to the website unionleader.com.

The 144-bed hospital will comprise four adult psychiatric care units, each with 24 beds; a 24-bed child and adolescent care unit; geriatric behavioral health unit; as well as a courtyard and therapeutic outdoor space.

Services will include mood disorders, trauma, thought disorders, and dual diagnoses that include substance misuse. Partial hospital programs and intensive outpatient services will be offered onsite.

The $60 million project is slated to open in 2025.

2023 Healthcare Design Showcase: The Judging Journey

I’m just returning from our annual judging event for the 23rd annual Healthcare Design Showcase . We’ve traditionally hosted the jury in Chicago, but this year we decided it was time for a change and set out for Omaha, Neb., a city full of impressive and award-winning healthcare projects, as well as the HDR headquarters, which served as our meeting venue. For now, I’ll share that we dedicated a day prior to the judging itself to go on facility tours—a new addition to the event. First, HDR gave presentations on two of the firm’s recent Showcase-winning international projects.
