CosciaMoos Expands Healthcare Practice

Architecture and interior design firm CosciaMoos Architecture (Philadelphia) recently hired Peter Barlow as a senior project manager and medical planner.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Barlow will lead projects for health systems including Virtua Health (Marlton, N.J.) and Jefferson Health (Philadelphia), as well as outpatient providers including Hopscotch Health (West Marion, N.J.) and Sage Health (Nashville, Tenn.).

$564M Victorian Heart Hospital Opens In Australia

Monash Health has opened Victorian Heart Hospital on the Monash University Clayton campus in Clayton, Victoria, Australia. As Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital, the $564 million facility houses clinical cardiology, research, education, outpatient, imaging, pathology, and pharmacy services. The 196-bed hospital includes seven catheterization laboratories and one floor dedicated to heart research by Monash University and independent research group Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre (Clayton). A central outdoor courtyard, landscaped areas, and café spaces are also featured at the new hospital. The project team comprises Conrad Gargett (designer; Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) and Wardle (designer; Collingwood, Victoria, Australia). Harlem Public Health Lab Tops Out In New York

Nonprofit New York City Economic Development Corporation (New York) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (New York) celebrated the topping out of the Public Health Lab adjacent to the campus of Harlem Hospital , a teaching hospital, in New York. The 10-story, 240,000-squarhttps://https://ift.tt/6ZhwWPX project includes a training lab for students from Hunter College (New York) and fellows from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York), an auditorium for community use, and Harlem Express, an outpatient facility that offers same-day sexually transmitted infections (STI) test services. The building design features a glass, cubic laboratory rising from a three-story masonry podium. The podium houses support and administrative functions and has a partial green roof.
