KVC Health System Childrens Mercy Hospital Break Ground On Kansas Mental Health Hospital

KVC Health Systems (Olathe, Kan.) and Children’s Mercy Hospital (Overland Park, Kan.) broke ground on a new 72-bed mental health inpatient hospital in Olathe, Kan. The hospital will serve both children and adults, according to the website governor.kansas.gov.

The project will include 48 pediatric beds and 24 adult beds, six private courtyards, walking paths, and dining and activity spaces.

The $53 million project is supported by a grant from the State of Kansas Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas (SPARK; Topeka, Kan.). Federal American Rescue Plan Act Funding was distributed for the project.
