Mercy Health St. Rita’s Debuts Renovated Rehabilitation Department

Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, held a grand opening for a new inpatient rehabilitation and therapy department on its campus.

The project includes 28 private patient beds, including four airborne infection isolation rooms; a centralized nurses’ station; and dining and gathering spaces.

Additionally, the project updated the staff lounges, multipurpose rooms, physical therapy rooms, and simulation space and rehabilitation gym for rehabilitation programs, such as walking on different ground surfaces, cooking, and laundry.

The project team includes multidisciplinary design firm Design Collaborative (Fort Wayne, Ind.).
