$452M Replacement Facility Planned For North Texas State Hospital

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (Austin, Texas) is planning a replacement facility for North Texas State Hospital, an inpatient mental health hospital, in Wichita Falls, Texas, according to the website newschannel6now.com.

The $452 million project will be built adjacent to the current facility.

It will house 200 beds, therapeutic areas, and separate adult and adolescent patient spaces.

Construction is expected to begin in summer 2024 and completion is slated for fall 2027.
