Abbott Northwestern Hospital To Build New Surgical, Critical Care Facility In Minneapolis

Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health (Minneapolis), broke ground on a new surgical and critical care facility on its campus in Minneapolis.

The project, which is part of a campus improvement plan, will house 192 patient beds and 30 operating rooms (ORs), designed for flexibility and adaptability.

The project team includes design firm HGA (Minneapolis) and engineering and construction firm Mortenson (Minneapolis).

The new surgical and critical care facility is expected to be completed in 2026.
