Sarasota Memorial Hospital Readies Behavioral Health Hospital For December Opening

Sarasota Memorial Hospital expects to open the new Cornell Family Behavioral Health Pavilion in early December on its campus in Sarasota, Fla. The $71 million project replaces a 1970s-era building, according to the website mysuncoast.com.

The 95,000-square-foot behavioral health hospital includes a 16-bed geriatric unit, 22-bed child and adolescent unit, 24-bed adult unit, and a 22-bed acute care unit.

The facility houses private patient rooms with screened porches and a garden and sensory room on each floor.
