Bliss Healthcare Files Request To Build MOB In Florida

Bliss Healthcare (Orlando, Fla.) has filed paperwork with the City of Orlando to build a new medical office building (MOB) in Orlando, according to the website bungalower.com . The project plans include a three-story, 78,000-square-foot MOB. A multistory commercial building would be demolished to make way for the project. The new clinic would feature an urgent care on the first floor, a second-floor treatment area, third-floor offices, and onsite café, pharmacy, conference center, and fitness center. It will also include a suite for In-Car-Care where patients can pull into the building and receive treatment in designated private parking bays. Bliss Healthcare was founded in 2015 with the mission to prevent and treat HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. Bill And Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital Planned In Georgia

Healthcare provider Piedmont Columbus Regional (Columbus, Ga.), which operates two hospital campuses in west Georgia, plans to renovate a former Doctors Hospital into the Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital in Columbus, according to the website wtvm.com . The five-floor hospital will house 30 inpatient rooms and a pediatric intensive care unit. The new hospital is slated to open in fall 2024. The Buckeye Ranch Receives Grant From Google To Open Youth Mental Health Center In Ohio

The Buckeye Ranch (Whitehall, Ohio), a private, nonprofit organization that provides behavioral and mental health services for children and families, is planning a new youth mental health center in Grove City, Ohio. Google pledged $250,000 to the nonprofit to support the center for young people in residential treatment who have both mental health diagnoses and substance use [issues? word missing here?], according to the website dispatch.com . The 57,000-square-foot project will include 48 beds and is expected to open in 2025. Buckeye Ranch operates six facilities in central and southwest Ohio. Phoenix Children’s Hospital To Add Multispecialty Clinic And Hospital In Arizona

Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix is slated to open a new multispecialty clinic in Glendale, Ariz., by the end of the year and a new hospital in Glendale in 2024, according to the website yourvalley.net . The two-story, 45,000-square-foot multispecialty clinic on the Glendale campus will house orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, and oncology services. The three-story, 180,000-square-foot hospital will have 24 inpatient beds, six operating rooms, two minor procedure rooms, and 30 emergency bays/trauma rooms. Space for an additional 24 inpatient beds will also be available. The project team includes Kitchell Construction Inc. (construction; Phoenix). Tampa General, Manatee Memorial Hospitals Barricade Campuses Amid Hurricane Idalia In Florida

Hospitals in Florida are taking measures to protect their facilities as Hurricane Idalia makes landfall in Florida today. Specifically, Tampa General Hospital , the region’s only Level 1 trauma center, barricaded its campus in Tampa, Fla., with an aqua fence, according to website baynews9.com . In Bradenton, Fla., Manatee Memorial Hospital protected its acute care campus with a flood barrier, reported independent.co.uk Tampa General Hospital’s aqua fence barrier stretches around the hospital and can prevent flooding and storm damage from the Category 3 storm. The water-impermeable barrier can handle a surge up to 15 feet above sea level. Manatee Memorial Hospital’s flood barrier was installed by the Florida National Guard as an alternative to sandbags.
