ZGF Signs HHS Health Sector Climate Pledge
Architecture firm ZGF (Portland, Ore.) has joined the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Sector Climate Pledge. The voluntary program focuses on climate resilience and emissions reduction, including cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent by 2030 and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
The firm is the first architecture firm to sign the pledge, according to a ZGF press release.
In 2019, ZGF committed to track and reduce by 55 percent the firm’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, using life cycle assessment methodology to account for Scope 3 emissions whenever possible.
